There have been a lot of events lately that are testing my judgment. I think God is doing this to see if I will continue to stay true to myself. I was raised to take the higher road no matter how the other individual is acting. Even in extreme circumstances you can still put someone in their place while keeping your dignity in tact. I think in the beginning of doing music it was easier to be bothered by things. I was young, naive, and still growing up. To me this level of maturity is a true testament of my own growth. Overall I think a lot of it has to do with confidence and if you are confident enough in what you’re doing…nothing can phase you. This is where I’m at in my journey as an artist and a human being. The other person wants their negativity to stick to you but me I let it bounce right off and continue marching on. A lot of changes are happening to the album but it wouldn’t be a “journey” if it was predictable. I think that’s what I love most about this business…being overly planned…well where’s the fun in that?
